While sketching poster concepts for my longtime friend Shawn Morgan—who’d been invited to join Earshot for their 2025 tour—I decided to create a piece for their Whisky a Go Go show even after he had to step away. Revisiting the band’s catalog led me to their 2022 single “You + I,” which sparked the idea of a human–cyborg hybrid fighting through its own circuitry for love and connection. The final piece became a reflection on identity, freedom, and breaking out of a mental cage to feel something real.
