Inspired by the psychedelic concert posters of San Francisco's Fillmore era, this piece pays tribute to Santana's Bay Area roots and the vibrant visual culture that helped define the late 1960s. The inspiration came from an unexpected place: a colorful pattern on a box of tissues spotted during a trip to the grocery store, whose flowing shapes and bold colors sparked the design. Available in both the cool-toned Midnight Shimmer Edition and the vibrant Solar Spectrum Edition, each print offers a modern interpretation of the psychedelic spirit that helped make Santana an icon.
Midnight Shimmer Edition
Solar Spectrum Edition
This is the exact image that inspired the Santana poster. I spotted it on a box of tissues while wandering through a grocery store and couldn't stop looking at the colors and shapes. Something about it felt connected to the psychedelic poster art of the late '60s, and the idea stuck with me all the way home. A few sketches later, it became the foundation for this piece.
