I knew Foo Fighters were opening for AC/DC in St. Louis, but with only a couple of weeks to work, there wasn’t time to incorporate them into the AC/DC poster I had already created. After seeing the show and realizing there wasn’t a Foo Fighters poster commemorating the night, I wanted to create something that captured what their set felt like to me. I imagined a Foo Fighter pilot flying recon over St. Louis, scouting the power grid and making sure everything was ready for AC/DC to PWR us UP! Inspired by 1940s fighter pilots and planes like the P-51 Mustang, the piece became a companion to my AC/DC poster and a way to remember an incredible night of music.
